My Job

mmmmmmmI'm responsible for A330 and B777 engines. Asianan has 17 A330 engines and 24 B777 engines. An engine is repaired once every 3 or 4 years and the turn-around time is over 100 days. I make the budget for engine maintenance and review all invoices after the maintenance. I should plan the repaires and manage the budget for maintenance. I analyze maintenance cost, turn-around time and merits and demerits of the maintenance vendor. If Asiana wants to make a contract with a new vendor, I should review all drafts for vendors. I have lots of things to do, but It's great chance to work here in Maintenance Administration Department.

    I'm happy to see you're keeping up with homework even though you've been busy with work.

    It's hard to believe that engines are only repaired once every 3 or 4 years. It makes me question how safe it is to really fly. I guess it must be ok but knowing this little fact does make me wonder.

    Anyhow, thank for an interesting assignment. I enjoyed learning about your job.

    I konw now that engine is required repair 3~4 years, etc. umm... Your work sound like interesting. I like to learn various kind of airlines field. If I have chance at work in kind of yours, I want to try~~^^

    I think you are the busiest person in our class.^^ My favorite airplane is B777, but I don't know about engine at all. It's great you are enjoying even though your work is very demanding.
